Northern Lites Courier Serving Saskatchewan

Northern Lites Courier offers same day service from Prince Albert to many North East Saskatchewan towns. Overnight service is provided to all direct points from Saskatoon, Regina, Winnipeg and Yorkton. Second day service is provided from Edmonton,Calgary and Swift Current. The following list shows our direct service points. An asterisk denotes points where same-day -service is available from Prince Albert.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. Base rates are for shipments weighing up to and including 5lbs. For shipments exceeding 5lbs. multiply excess weight by the rate per lb. and add to the base rate.
  2. The maximum size of any single piece shall not exceed 75lbs. or 8 feet in length.
  3. Protection from frost is available at an additional charge of $4.94 per shipment.
  4. Charges are based on a minimum shipment density of 10lbs. per cubic foot.
  5. Shipments of dangerous goods will be accepted subject to the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations at an additional charge of $7.72 per shipment.
  6. C.O.D. shipments are subject to a collection fee of $10.00 for the first $100.00 of the C.O.D. amount plus $1.50 for each additional $100.00 or portion thereof to a maximum of $40.00 .
  7. Liability for loss or damage shall not exceed $2.00 per lb. unless a higher value is declared on bill of lading subject to a maximum valuation of $1,000.00 without prior authorization. Values exceeding $2.00 per lb. are subject to a charge of 2% of the excess value, minimum $3.55.
  8. Residential service is available subject to an additional charge of $8.04 per shipment.
  9. Redelivered or redirected shipments are subject to an additional charge of $8.04 per shipment.
  10. Attempted pickups, where freight is unavailable, will be subject to an additional charge of $8.04.
  11. Hot Shot service is available by special arrangement at the following rates: Car or Compact pickup- $1.15 per running kilometer, minimum charge $58.02. Full size Pickup or Van- $1.45 per running kilometer, minimum charge $75.71.
  12. Sameday service (where available ) is subject to an additional charge of $6.46 per shipment.
  13. Waiting time will be assessed at a rate of $23.21 per hour to the nearest quarter hour.
  14. Copies of documents will be provided subject to a charge of $3.00 each, minimum $15.00.
  15. Shipments of plants, flowers, perishables and personal effects move at owners risk of damage.
  16. Shippers shall pay all charges on prepaid shipments and on collect shipments where consignee fails to pay. Consignee shall pay all charges on collect shipments and on prepaid shipments where shipper fails to pay.
